Three Fired FBI Agents File Class Action Suit Alleging Retribution Campaign

Three FBI agents fired for their participation in investigations related to Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election filed a class action lawsuit seeking reinstatement. The suit alleges AG Bondi and FBI Director Patel, both involved in Trump's legal matters, orchestrated a retribution campaign. If successful, the case could open the door for at least 50 additional fired agents to rejoin the bureau.
The class action structure could force discovery on the full scope of Patel's personnel purge, potentially revealing internal communications about targeting criteria. The plaintiffs' argument that Bondi and Patel have disqualifying conflicts of interest (both were involved in Trump's legal cases) may prove more legally potent than the retribution claim itself.
