Norway's Promised F-16s Remain in Belgian Workshop, Delivery Timeline Unknown

None of the six F-16 fighter jets promised by Norway to Ukraine in August 2023 have been delivered. Two aircraft used for pilot training in Denmark and four shipped as parts in crates are all at a Sabena workshop in Belgium, where capacity problems have stalled progress. Each aircraft requires approximately 100 replacement parts and roughly a year of preparation. Norwegian authorities had previously committed to completing all deliveries by the end of 2025.
